4 Tools to Mount ISO files in Linux


When I switched to Linux I missed the daemon tools lite too much to mount ISO files and other images files on Linux. I remember I have too used Daemon Tool to mount Ubuntu and install my PC. later I searched the tools for mounting ISO files on Linux and I found many.
Here I have listed around 4 simple tools to Mount Images on Linux Operating system. These tools can be directly downloaded from Ubuntu Software center, through the terminal or directly download the installation file from the Official website.

1. Gmount-iso


Gmount-iso is a small tool written using PyGTK and Glade that allows you to easily mount your cd images. It Converts your CDs and unprotected DVDs into “virtual CDs” — disc images that run directly on your hard drive, replacing physical discs and saving wear and tear on your CD-ROM drive.
You can easily download abnd use Gmount-iso from the Ubuntu Software center or install it using the following command in the terminal.

PC-01@terminal:~ $
  sudo apt-get install gmountiso

2. Furius ISO Mount


Furius ISO Mount is a simple application for mounting .iso, .img, .bin, .mdf and .ng image files in Linux without burning them to disk. It combines some col features like Burns ISO and IMG files to Optical disks, automatically creates a mount point in your home directory and more, mounts multiple images and more.
Ubuntu users can directly download it from the Software center. For other Linux uers they can Furios ISO mount download page or from the terminal using the following command.

PC-01@terminal:~ $
  sudo apt-get install furiusisomount

3. AcetoneISO


AcetoneISO, is a feature-rich and complete software application to manage CD/DVD images. It is supported with powerful open source tools such as fuseiso. You can use the application to mount and manage CD and DVD images. AcetoneISO supports disc-image formats like ISO, BIN, NRG, MDF and IMG. You can download it free from the Official website.

4. MountManager


MountManager is the program for mounting of storage devices, flash cards, removable disks in Linux. It supports imgaes files like ISO, img, nrg, etc. Moreover, it also supports mounting and unmounting partitions with option for restoration system. You can either search it on Ubuntu software center or download directly from Official website.
